The Fundamental Coach Accreditation is the minimum requirement for coaching in gymnastics. The Fundamental Coach will gain the skills and knowledge to assist in preparing and coaching gymnastics sessions involving fundamental movement and gymnastics skills. This course is run jointly with Republic Polytechnic. This course is part of a certification process by Singapore Gymnastics.

Learning Objectives

Participants will gain the skills and knowledge to assist in preparing and coaching gymnastics sessions involving fundamental and gymnastics skills.

• Coach Fundamental or novice participants to develop fundamental motor skills
• Assist in preparing and conducting sport and recreation sessions
• Develop and update knowledge of coaching practices

Current & potential gymnastic coaches, athletes and teachers

Entry Requirement

16 years and above
 No background in Gymnastics are welcomed as well
 

Course Requirement

• Pre-course readings & MCQ
• WADA certification
• On the job training (10 coaching hours)
• Fundamental Face to Face Course (competency assessment)
• Standard First Aid Certificate (responsibility of individuals)*
