Honorary Life Member

Honorary Life members are prominent individuals that have made a significant contribution to SG or gymnastics community over the years.

Honorary Life Membership may be awarded to persons who have made valuable and outstanding contributions to Singapore Gymnastics (SG) and towards the promotion of gymnastics. Individual may be nominated if he/she has provided gymnastics in Singapore with distinguished and meritorious service for not fewer than 12 consecutive years or 15 years of broken service of no more than two breaks, at a national level. Service to gymnastics in Singapore may be as an athlete, coach, official or administrator.

Benefits

In addition to the entitlements set out in the SG constitution, Honorary Life Membership of SG entitles the member to the following privileges:

• Have the right to attend but not vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) or Special General Meeting (SGM)
• SG Honorary Life Member Badge
• Eligible to rent equipment FOC, as available as per the Equipment Policy
• Access to all and any general correspondence from SG forwarded to members
• Access to SG National Programme for all disciplines
• To receive technical updates and relevant information from SG and that SG has received from FIG, AGU, SEAGCON, SNOC, SSC and other gymnastics/sports bodies
• Free entry to spectate at any of SG organised events (Singapore Open, National Championships, GymFest)
• Free entry to all SG organised courses, workshops and conference
• To receive invitations to major events (airfares and accommodation not included).

How to nominate a Honorary Life Member

Call for Honorary Life Membership will occur annually at the end of October and will remain confidential.

• Nominations for Honorary Life Membership shall only be made by a Full Member, Club Member or a Director of the Board of SG
• Nominations for Honorary Life Membership shall be submitted in writing to the Board, who will review the nomination.
• The recommendation shall include:
  1. a statement as to the nominee’s eligibility and suitability
  2. a short report outlining the history of the services rendered to SG by the nominee of no more than 750 words
