It's been a while, the ActiveSG Gymnastics KinderGym Programme is finally back in action! Week 1 in, we have had a resounding sign ups for programmes at both the Seng Kang and Bishan Sports Hall centres. 

KinderGym is all about creating positive movement experiences that can influence a child’s outlook on physical activity for life. For these children in our KinderGym programme, By providing an environment where the child may creatively explore and practise skills safely in order to increase self-confidence and self-esteem. KinderGym is an inclusive and non- competitive programme that focuses on developing the whole child in terms of their physical, social, emotional and cognitive abilities.

Currently Singapore Gymnastics has helped to kickstart the programme with the support of SportSG however this is truly meant to be a 3-way partnership between SG, SportSG and our SG affiliated clubs. The objective of this partnered project is to not just to raise the profile of gymnastics and increase participation in Singapore through targeted, inclusive programmes aimed at the zero to six year olds, but include our affiliated clubs to be in having a wider reach to the greater community and/or support clubs in setting up KinderGym in their own gyms.

It is also about encouraging a further pathway development into our sport of Gymnastics when children work with our affiliated clubs and coaches.
