Aerobics expert Eva Szloboda, from Hungary, (who is an Aerobic and Women’s Artistic coach, a dancer and choreographer as well as a physiotherapist and a medallist at World Cup & Championship level) and Hardy Fink, the Director of FIG Education and Academy Programmes imparted her knowledge on the sport of aerobics to people from Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines and Vietnam. Presented information about this programme and other FIG coach education programmes and its ‘gymnast centred” philosophy along with information about the growth and development of children, the concerns over high intensity training during the rapid growth years and a lecture on physical preparation for injury prevention.
Eva Szloboda is a frequent Academy expert and was a member of the working group that developed the Aerobics Age Group Programme.
Age Group camp – the Aerobics Age Group Camp was only completed in December 2017, includes a physical ability testing programme, a technical testing programme for all components of the sport including music, rhythm and dance training and compulsory exercises up to the Age Group World Competition level. It also includes modified optional rules and a variety of ancillary technical and sport science information.
Aerobics is a terrific sport for all ages and is a great member retention program for artistic clubs. East to implement, now specific equipment required, it is a great way for clubs to expand their revenue streams while not impacting on their current programmes.
