Artistic Gymnastics Federation Internationale de Gymnastique Level 2 Coach Academy November 2018

Published Wed 07 Nov 2018

Singapore Gymnastics (SG) is privileged to host the inaugural Artistic Gymnastics (ART) Federation Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) Level 2 Coach Academy in Singapore between 4th November and 12th November.

We are extremely privileged to have our experts Mr Chris Evans (Course Leader), Mr Eddie Van Hoof, Mr Eric Boucharin and Ms Anastasia Umeh, coming from Great Britain, Canada, France and Australia respectively to share their wealth of knowledge with the 24 participants. Mr Eddie Van Hoof is the course presenter for our MAG participants, while Mr Eric Boucharin and Ms Anastasia Umeh are the course presenters for our WAG participants.

Similar to the level 1 academy held in June, the level 2 academy consists of 2 parts, the practical segment and the theory segment which covers a spectrum of sport-science topics, ranging from biomechanics to physiology, anatomy and sport psychology. To put their knowledge to the test, participants will have to take a theory and practical exam on the last day of the course.

SG would like to wish all the participants the best of luck, as well as to extend our sincere thanks to the FIG and the course experts for all their guidance. Not forgetting the kind support from United World College East Campus, The Yard Singapore and the gymnastics Federations of China, Cambodia, Egypt, Indonesia, Philippines, Republic of Korea and Sri Lanka, without which, this Academy would not have been possible.
