Blangah Rise Primary School Creative Campaign

Published Thu 29 Jul 2021

The world changed completely in 2020.

Many restrictions were imposed, and the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 were postponed a year for the first time in the history of the Games.

Recognising the unifying power of sport and the importance of solidarity, Blangah Rise Primary School worked on a project of creation of postcards with the front of postcards being scenic images depicting the values of Respect, Friendship and Excellence. These images were taken by their students in the CCA Club and have also included inspiring quotes on the images. The back of the postcards were handwritten well-wishes to the athletes participating at the Olympics as a platform for them to write authentically, and to cheerlead the Team Singapore athletes.

With this, we would like to thank all the CCA Club pupils and Blangah Rise Primary School for the creative campaign that celebrates athletes, more so for cheering Tan Sze En, Singapore Gymnastics Olympian. Sze En also thank the students for their inspirational messages that gave her the confidence to go out and do her best at the Olympics! Those messages have surely contributed to keeping Singapore representatives moving even when the world around them stopped.

Truly, the world moves forward only when it moves together, and the irresistible power of the Olympic Games to unite people, communities and societies across the globe.

Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together.
