We are pleased to share with you the exciting news of our recently concluded Safeguarding Officer Training that took place in on 28th and 29th March 2023 both over on Zoom and in person at Heartbeat@Bedok . 

We take child safety seriously and it is something that has been weaved into the club affiliation, All Affiliated Clubs of SIngapore Gymnastics had appointed a Safeguarding Officer as part of the Club affiliation 2023. SafeSport is a continual journey where we will need to continue to raise the bar and we will never be able to rest on what has just been done, but continue to look at ways we can be better! We have an obligation to the community.

During the session, several topics including Impacts and Warning signs of abuse, Tips on managing disclosures, Interview Do’s and Don’ts, and the Infomation Gathering Process were discuss, and participants were given a chance to exchange ideas, share experiences, and practice skills such as active listening skills, and calming down strategies on each other.
