At Singapore Gymnastics, we are pleased to announce that, Tan Sze En, has been awarded the Meritorious Award from the  Singapore Sports Awards (SSA)!

Organised by the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) and Sport Singapore (SportSG), and supported by the Tote Board, the 2022 SSA honour the most deserving individuals and teams in sports for the year of 2021.

National Sports Associations were invited to nominate candidates for the main award categories following a set of eligibility criteria which consider factors such as the achievements of the nominees. The selection committees then decided on the finalists and cast their votes via a secret ballot to determine the winners

The Meritorious awards are presented to individual and team performances in the senior and junior categories. Said Dr Ben Tan, chairman of the Singapore Sports Awards 2022 organising committee, “The Covid-19 pandemic stalled sports competitions and major Games, but did not dampen the spirit of Team Singapore. Our athletes were resilient and kept up their training as best they could, despite numerous hurdles. We are very pleased to resume the Singapore Sports Awards to celebrate the achievements of our athletes and the sporting community in 2021.”
