Singapore, 2nd November 2024 – Bishan Sports Hall buzzed with excitement as GymFest 2024 took spectators on an emotional journey with its theme, Emotions in Motion: A Journey Through Inside Out. Inspired by the animated film Inside Out, the event celebrated the depth of human emotions through the art of gymnastics and storytelling.
The evening opened with a captivating solo performance by Wen Wen, a Rhythmic Gymnastics coach from Singapore Gymnastics. Her elegant routine, centered on self-discovery, set the stage for 11 teams to dazzle with their interpretations of emotions like happiness, sadness, anxiety, and anger.
This year’s GymFest saw increased participation, featuring a greater number of teams and performances than the previous year, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for the event. The lineup featured two engaging groups from Karenko Gymnastics Academy, alongside teams from D’Gymnastique Academy, Prime Gymnastics Club, Jump Rope Federation and collaborative performance by SPACECUBOID Studio & YMCA Singapore.
National Training Centre (NTC) teams representing MAG (Men's Artistic Gymnastics), WAG (Women's Artistic Gymnastics), and RG (Rhythmic Gymnastics) also showcased their creativity and skill through captivating routines.
A special highlight of the evening was a heartfelt performance by Space cuboid and YMCA’s group of athletes with special needs, whose inspiring routine earned thunderous applause. Their performnce embodied the spirit of inclusivity and unity, which is at the heart of GymFest.

The awards were judged by Karen Norden, High-Performance Technical Director of Singapore Gymnastics, and Carmee Lim, the organization’s first President. Their involvement highlighted the importance of GymFest as a platform to nurture talent and inclusivity in gymnastics.
The prize presentation was conducted by Ms. Carmee Lim, who added to the celebration by leading a vibrant flash mob. Joined by performers the high-energy routine brought everyone together, creating a joyful and unforgettable conclusion to the event.
With GymFest 2024, Bishan Sports Hall came alive with the sounds of cheers and applause from a packed audience of 132 spectators. The event showcased the versatility and inclusivity of gymnastics, proving once again that it is a sport for everyone.
