Balance, Run, Jump and Roll! These are some of the movement patterns that children will be learning and practicing in this fun and exciting ActiveSG Gymnastics Academy (AGA)’s KinderGym Programme. This is a unique partnership between Singapore Gymnastics and ActiveSGand the programme is to be delivered by appointed SG affiliated clubs and their coaches.

The beauty of having these satellite ActiveSG KinderGym programmes, it increases the  accessibility to gymnastics to the general public and also creates a pathway for these children to either further pursue their gymnastics interest at a proper established gymnastics club and/or give them a heads up to any other sports they may wish to partake in.

For the clubs who are interested in running these programmes, it could be the perfect opportunity to extend an invitation into their gym to do more gymnastics, throw a gymnastics birthday party and/or develop future talents! Each term runs for 10 weeks and all administrative duties are borne by SportSG so that coaches can focus on coaching and engaging the children.

The confirmed ActiveSG KinderGym Programme Venues for Term 1 of 2022 are:

Seng Kang Sport Centre / Mon to Fri 12-3pm

Jurong West Sport Centre / Mon to Fri 12-3pm

Bishan Sport Centre / Mon to Fri 12-3pm

How do clubs get to be an ActiveSG KinderGym Programme delivery partner?

• Current affiliated Club with SG that has paid the annual membership fee
• Offer recreational programmes at their club(s) to children aged 2-6 years old
• Be in close proximity to the ActiveSG sport centres
• Have at least One KinderGym accredited coach linked to the club that is a current Technical Member with SG and in the National Register of Coaches (NROC)
• Have capacity to provide more coaches who are SG Technical & NROC registered
• Sign the annual KinderGym Agreement which outlines Guiding Principles
• Have a minimum of 25 registered Athletes from the club in the national database

As a SG-KinderGym affiliated club, you are entitled to:

• be listed on SG website as a licensed KinderGym provider (for the length of endorsement)
• take priority to deliver KinderGym programs under ActiveSG Gymnastics Academy supported by Sports Singapore
• have access to KinderGym flyers and posters
• be distributed specially-designed KinderGym passport for all KinderGym participants
