Singapore Gymnastics are extremely fortunate to have engaged world class educator, Gene Schembri to assist in the development of our discipline specific Intermediate coaches’ courses. Gene is in Singapore, at the moment, to work with the community on the content of the courses and one of the key steps in the development of the Intermediate course is the training of our Learning Facilitators aka our Course Presenters. The pilot Learning Facilitator Course was held today and we are off to a great start in building the most important people of the community…….coaches!

Even more exciting and a fun fact is that Gene is also the author of the very much loved and used “Introductory Gymnastics” textbook. It might be an oldy, but it is still a goody, and a “bible” for gymnastics coaches all around the world! Dawn, our Community Development Manager, was also very excited to get her very own autographed copy of the Bible from Gene!
