We are excited to introduce Mark Calton as our Technical Consultant for our National Training Centre and National Squad over the next few months.

Mark will be working closely with our coaches and gymnasts, with the aim of enhancing the current WAG High Performance Program.

With 33 years of elite gymnastics coaching experience and having worked in various national training centres, Mark has much to offer to Singapore Gymnastics. Starting his coaching career in 1985 at the Australian Institute of Sports, Mark has moved into different countries and has had the opportunity of working alongside some of the best coaches in the world. Singapore Gymnastics will be his third consultancy engagement, after having provided technical expertise to the Canadian and Australian National Teams. Some of his most notable roles and achievements includes:

• Welsh Gymnastics National Coach from 2013 to 2018
• Part of the coaching team who brought Australia Gymnastics WAG team from 15th to 3rd in the world
• Senior head coach of Cirque du Soleil from 2009 to 2012
• Coach to 13 Olympians between 1988 to 2004
