The Yard Acrobatic Centre is one of Singapore’s premier and largest gymnastics providers
for recreational and competitive gymnastics.
The Yard is delighted to announce an exciting new vacancy for a Recreational Program
Manager, the role will be responsible for managing and developing Recreational
Gymnastics programmes across their locations. This full time role will involve on the
floor coaching, managing and the responsibility for the enhancement of their successful
recreational gymnastics programmes, and also specialist programmes (tumbling, freestyle
and trampolining) . The Yard’s focus is to successfully deliver positive and technically
driven, fun classes that teach sound progressions to all aspiring gymnasts (ages 18 months
to adult).
Their recreational programs sit strongly in the philosophy of “Gymnastics for All”, offering
accessibility for infants, children and adults from all backgrounds and a diversity of
gymnastics (artistic, trampolining, freestyle and tumbling) to spread the physical, social and
psychological benefits of acrobatics across a wider audience of people.
Key Responsibilities
Further develop and plan age-appropriate gymnastics curriculums across the early years,
Kinder, Junior, Senior and adult Gymnastics programs.
Ensure coaching techniques are in accordance with best practices and that programme content
supports smooth pathways from recreational to development and competitive programs at
every age group.
Oversee the delivery of all recreational programs, managing their team of recreational
coaches (full/part time) and program coordinators for their specialist disciplines.
Organise and managed periodic skill testing/ grading activities for all Gymnastics programs.
From outlining the criteria, running the event, parent communication and data interpretation
and analysis.
Monitor and analyse program statistics using their in-house client management system to
identify opportunities for growth, attrition and retention rates, coach performance, and
resource requirements for waitlists.
Collaborate with Senior coaches and Directors to ensure all recreational programs are
represented in the bigger picture planning for The Yard and it’s growth, scheduling and
allocation of resources.
Work closely with all recreational coaching staff to help train and develop, contribute to The
Yard’s weekly coaches education clinics, build a schedule for rec-specific training and
mentorship to support, nurture and empower the coaching team to deliver the highest quality
classes.
Requirements:
- FIG level 1 certified or international equivalent with minimum of 3 years experience
managing and delivering recreational and/or competitive programs.
- A strong track record of coordinating and managing a team of coaches.
- Certified in First Aid
- Passionate about working with children from early years (18 months) to teens.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, excellent communication skills (parent, children and
coaching team, senior management).

their skills. The remuneration package offered to the right candidate will include monthly
