SWAGA Gym seeks an enthusiastic, motivated and knowledgable Recreational Gymnastics Coach to join their team. 

The Recreational Gymnastics Coach is responsible to assist in the further development of the competitive program and planning age-appropriate gymnastics curriculums across the Fundmental levels. This position is responsible to the Recreational Head Coach.

Main Responsibilities

Coaching 

• To be responsible for the delivery of Fundamental programs ensuring strong and consistent progression.

• Deliver dynamic, fun and motivatnig training programs that enthuse and inspire through age and ability appropriate cirriculum across all programs. 

• Ensure the safety of all participants, other coaches and yourself within sessions, reporting any incidents in accordance with SWAGA's procedures and codes of practice.

• Adhere at all times to SWAGA's safeguarding, equality and Health & Child Safe Safety practices. 

• Attend and contribute to coaching clinics/meetings for SWAGA where relevant to role and development. 

• Operate and maintain effective communication channels with all staff, parents and participants. 

• Communicate with the SWAGA team on a regular basis to ensure participants are attending relevant classes. 

• To work with the Recreational Head Coach in the implementation of lesson plans, circuits and delivery of cirriculum. 

• To carry out regular equipment checks, reporting potential issues, assisting with the maintenance and working with senior coaches to ensure safety of participants at all times.

General 

• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance.

• Be punctual and have a positive attitude to attendance. 

• Maintain a high standard of conduct and behvaiour that is sensitive to the client base in the dealings with the children. 

• Facility maintenance assistance in the presentation of the Gym.

• Team player, working with all members of the SWAGA staff. 

• Respect confidentiality at all times. 

• Complete ad hoc tasks to be agreed with the Management team. 

• To assist with cover in both Kinder and Fundamental programs if required.
