Let our children play!
Play takes a central role in every pre-schooler. Through play, children become oriented to planning activities and to imagining what they cannot see, which are foundational capacities for working with the written language in school. Play enables children to be free-spirited, creative, and flexible thinkers. It also unleashes their imaginations and allows them to engage in pure, self-directed, free-flowing fun. When it comes to children's growth and development, play is vital.
Fantasy which is part of play is also important as exploration may take place not only through material exploration but also through exploration in the child’s imagination. The creation of different themes in our KinderGym programme can help the children to create collective imagination which they can explore together, and thereby develop both their relationship with their peers and strengthen their courage and explorative nature.
Exploration can help catch a child’s attention using different material objects during his or her exploration. This process creates the way for a child to understand the world and to become conscious of their surroundings.
Children develop as active individuals and are spontaneous and free to explore but careful guided by their KinderGym coaches. By using different equipment or even material and/or texture to create various scenario to catch the children’s attention and to guide them in their exploration. Such sensory dimensions can help to prepare the children to act in a functional and technical world.
Research has proven that play adds lasting social, emotional, mental, and physical benefits to children and even adults. Play is a stress reducer and creates connection. The benefits of play in early childhood are reason enough to incorporate daily healthy habits of play, but it is even more critical during these challenging times. So do set up an hour each day for your children to play!
