Looking for Women's Artistic Gymnastics - National Head Coach

Singapore Gymnastics (SG) is the peak national body responsible for the governance, development, promotion, and administration of gymnastics in Singapore. The organisation offers an attractive opportunity for a professional coach to drive the performances of Women’s Artistic gymnasts.

SG is seeking the services of a highly skilled and passionate leader for the position of National Head Coach. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working in close collaboration with the National Coaches and the Artistic Program Manager, the National Head Coach will be a key pillar in ensuring SG meets its high performance goals and objectives and deliver internationally competitive results.

The National Head Coach will drive the daily training environment, lead the team at all national and international competitions and continually increase the level of professionalism to provide the best chance of achieving exceptional results. The National Head Coach will be directly responsible for all National Training Centre Athletes.

This is an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to take high performance gymnastics in Singapore to the next level. A demonstrated ability to maximise limited resources, a willingness to go above and beyond and the ability to communicate with a wide range of key stakeholders (players, parents, coaches, SG Board, funding partners etc.) is essential.

Potential candidate should have:

  • Strong leadership ability and positive attitude
  • More than 10 years’ experience in coaching at the International high-performance level
  • Previously held a role as Head Coach in an international programme with the international gymnastics’ federation and/or club level
  • Worked extensively with a network of Sport Science and Sport Medicine personnel
  • Has the skills and mindset required to develop an effective long-term performance pathway and excellent technical, motivational and communication skills while developing a high-performance culture in the NTC
  • Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Provide strategic focus and leadership for all the WAG programme, taking responsibility for all aspects of the programmes delivered
  • The ability to provide mentorship and training for the identified local coaching personnel
