Meet Our Directors - Chapter Three

Siew Hong has over 20 years of sales & marketing experience in the IT industry. She spent 19 years at Microsoft, where she assumed a variety of sales and marketing roles and later held managerial and leadership positions throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Prior to joining the board, Siew Hong was actively involved with Singapore Gymnastics. In 2016, she was a member of the Fund-raising subcommittee; and led SG’s 2016 Charity Golf & Dinner event, which achieved 175% of its fundraising target. Siew Hong has also actively supported various SG competitions as team lead for the scoring and results team.

Siew Hong is a keen sportsperson, having joined the national team for both hockey and squash. She is a strong believer that sports help to build character, instil discipline, and foster team spirit. Her interest and passion for sports extends to her entire family, where everyone has at some point been a highly competitive athlete.

She continues to actively play badminton and golf, and was the mixed doubles Champion (combined age 100) at the 2016 Morning Cup, the biggest badminton master’s competition in the world.

As a parent of a national gymnast, she has a deep appreciation of what it takes to groom an aspiring athlete.  As a board member, Siew Hong seeks to leverage on her extensive management and leadership experience, personal experience as a high-performance athlete, and experience as a parent of a high-performance athlete to contribute towards the development and growth of gymnastics in Singapore.
