Meet Singapore Gymnastics new Board of Directors who are committed to continuing to build a brighter future for the gymnastics community and country as a whole.

The Singapore Gymnastics (SG) 19^th Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday, 28 August 2021, with 14 Voting Members in attendance.

SG President Dr Patrick Liew tabled the 2020 Annual Report and highlighted the unusual and challenging year endured by SG and the community. He shared how it was heart-warming to see the gymnastics community showing resilience and working with the National Office to overcome the challenges together.

During the year that was, while SG responded to immediate and urgent issues, there was still a continued focus on the strategic plan working towards a stable, secure and sustainable future, and outgoing Treasurer, Stephen Lim, was pleased to present the Financial Statement for the FY20/21 with a $158k surplus.

For the first time in SG history, the Voting Members approved the following affiliated Clubs to full Club Membership with voting rights with Singapore Gymnastics at the following AGM. This now takes SG Voting Members to 27 Voting Members.

The Voting Members at the AGM also approved further changes to its Constitution in order to align the organisation with best practices in governance and the SportSG NSA Guiding Principles. These changes continue to drive the organisation as a leader in governance.

The Board elections were held for the 2021-2023 Directors, where the Voting Members voted for seven (7) Directors with four elected for a four (4) year term and three for a two (2) year term. The 7 Directors were not elected to any specific Board role but following the AGM election, the seven Elected Directors convened to internally allocate the key Board positions and to also discuss the two (2) Appointed Director positions available.

President Dr Patrick Liew put on record SG’s appreciation to the outgoing Board Members Stephen Lim, Rabia Muir, Jessica Hinton and Jacqui Heng for volunteering to serve Singapore Gymnastics, and for their effort and contribution.

The board and national office are looking forward to driving SG’s next developmental leap, as we step up and lead at a local and regional level in gymnastics and sport. We aim to pull together and grow stronger as a community, so we can make a major contribution in building a sustainable and flourishing sporting ecosystem here is Singapore and South East Asia.
