Overall Function

The successful coach will help to develop and drive the Gymnastics Programme at NorthStar Gymnastics across recreational and competitive levels.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and coach Recreational and WAG (Level 2 to 8), assist in MAG (Level 2 to 6) competitive levels
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment in practice sessions, competitions and events
• Monitor attendance/progress and guide individualised plans for progressive training and competition
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, events, competitions, and workshops
• Mentor junior coaches and conduct coaching clinics to raise the level of club gymnastics in Singapore
• Communicate regularly with parent/ guardians regarding progress, behaviour and achievements of gymnasts

Requirements

• Singapore gymnastics coaching experience or international equivalent with min. of 10 years coaching experience
• At least FIG Level 2 certification
• Judging certification advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-versed in latest gymnastics skills / conditioning techniques, scoring, and best practices
• Competitive gymnastics experience at club or national levels - strongly preferred
• Passionate about working with children (and the young-at-heart!)
• Responsible and enthusiastic team player
• Willing to work evenings and weekends
