On 18th – 19th March 2023, Terry Tay, an official member of the Singapore Olympic Council (SNOC) Athlete Commission attended the OCA Athletes Forum in Bangkok, Thailand. The two-day forum took place in hopes to support the Athletes Committees in Asia and try to work cohesively to assist athletes. 

The forum features presentations and discussions from the OCA and IOC Athlete Committees and Departments and different topics were presented by experts. This was the first OCA Athletes Forum since November 2018 in Tokyo and came at the start of a busy OCA year. With major games happening such as the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, and a little closer to home, the Asian Championships that will be held in Singapore. 

"It was an insightful and inspiring weekend in Bangkok where over 40 countries were represented at the forum. My perspective was challenged by hearty conversations and discussions, and it was interesting to view things from other's perspectives. I am thankful for the new friends and memories made. This experience also reminded me that everyone face challenges, but it is how we face these challenges together that truly matters and is what makes a difference." - Terry Tay
