On 4th August 2021, the RG TAC held an online meeting to discuss the following and the outcomes are summarised as below:
1) Update on new Level 3 routines for 2022 local competitions onwards.
The new Level 3 routines were to be scheduled to be released in 2020 for local competitions from 2021 onwards. However due to COVID restrictions, there was a delay in its release.
There was discussion regarding the release of the new Level 3 Routines (2021 version) for Hoop and Clubs and if they will be used for 2022 local competitions onwards.
The RG TAC would like to receive community feedback for the above issue for consideration. Schools and Clubs will be provided the link to the feedback form (Deadline 16 Aug 2021 1200hrs). Please find the link here.
2) Update to changes for Level 1, 2 & 3 Freehand Routines
There will be updates to the Freehand routines for all Level 1, 2 and 3. The new Freehand routines will have the same difficulties and elements but a shortened version with routine duration adhering 1"15' - 1"30'. The impact will be minimal. More details and information will be released by October 2021, to be implemented at 2022 National Championships.
3) Workshop on new Level 3 routines
If the new Level 3 routines will be implemented in 2022, the workshop for coaches on the new Level 3 routines will be conducted. The mode of delivery will be either physical or online, subjected to prevailing COVID restrictions. More details and information will be released before October 2021.
4) Implementation of new COP for Junior and Seniors, Stages remain the same
SG endeavours to implement the new Code of Points (2022-2024) for only Juniors and Seniors in local competitions from January 2022, subject to availability of FIG Brevet Judges who have passed the new COP course.
Apparatus and Judging for Levels and Stages will remain as per COP 2017-2021, for local competitions in 2022. This will be reviewed for 2023 local competitions.
5) Rope as an apparatus in Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rope will remain in the Levels and Stages and will be judged as per COP 2017-2021.
6) Code Of Points (2022-2024)
The TAC has discussed to organise workshops for local judges and coaches around the new COP once the Code of Points (2022-2024) receive further updates, following the recent conclusion of the Olympics 2020.
