Safe Sport Module Requirement for Coaches (updated)

The National Registry of Coaches (NROC) has announced that all registered coaches must complete the ‘Understanding Safe Sport as a Coach’ online module by 1 January 2025. This mandate, issued by SportSG and NROC, aims to ensure the highest standards of athlete safety and well-being across all sporting disciplines.

Coaches play a vital role in fostering a safe and positive sporting environment. This is particularly important when working with children, young persons, and persons with disabilities. By completing this module, coaches will gain essential knowledge, skills, and ethical standards to protect their athletes and uphold the integrity of the sport.

What You Need to Do

  1. Complete the ‘Understanding Safe Sport as a Coach’ Online Module
    If you have not yet completed the module, get started here.

  2. Upload Your Certificate to Both Platforms

    ⚠️ Note: The Singapore Gymnastics platform is NOT connected to the SportSG-ED platform. You must upload your certificate separately to both platforms.

How to Upload Your Certificate

  • Singapore Gymnastics (SG) platform: Log in and upload your certificate here

  • SportSG-ED platform:

    • Log in using your SportSync ID as your username (your SportSync ID starts with the letter “I”).

    • If you do not have a password, click Forgot Password to reset it.

    • If you have completed the module previously (or under SG-Coach L1 Programmes from 2021 or SG-Coach Community Programme), ensure your certificate is uploaded in SportSync.
