Serving clubs through visits

Published Thu 16 Sep 2021

We are so pleased to be able to visit our affiliated clubs earlier this year so that feedback and challenges can be received and addressed sooner rather than later. Clubs are the core drivers of gymnastics development in Singapore and their recommendations and support make a tremendous impact on the future of the sport, empowering coaches to help members learn, grow, and achieve.

This year, we were able to

  • Introduce our new member to the team, Participation Officer Shilin Sim who will be driving the ActiveSG KinderGym programme and its collaboration with our affiliated clubs.
  • Look back at feedback, comments and concerns voiced by our clubs in 2020 and share what the National Office has been doing, has done and/or will be continuing to do in relation to their issues raised.
  • Hear from the clubs their current challenges and offer advice. While we may not have all the answers to the questions in an instance, every bit of feedback and suggestions are noted and brought back to the discussion table at the National Office.
  • Share in greater detail about the Singapore Gymnastics Club Quality Assurance Programme (SG-CQAP). It is developed for Clubs as an approach to ensure their long-term success. We develop tools designed to to assist clubs assess their capacity to operate more effectively, and to then provide clubs with access to the resources they will need to make those improvements.
  • Highlight upcoming events, courses & workshops in the final quarter of 2021 and more importantly going forward in 2022

Thank you clubs again for your continued support and commitment to the sport, we look forward to working closely side by side with you, towards a safe, quality and sustainable club ecosystem.
