SINGAPORE GYMNAST HEADING TO BUENOS AIRES FOR THE 3RD YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES
Tamara Anika Ong from Singapore Gymnastics has qualified to compete at the 3rd edition of the quadrennial event, which will be held from 6th to 18th October 2018, in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina
Tamara will be competing in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics discipline, across all 4 events – Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise.
She is currently based in Melbourne, Victoria completing her year as a 9th Grader, and trains under coaches Timothy Lees and Jackie Caldwell at Methodist Ladies College in Melbourne, Victoria.
This YOG will be Tamara’s first major competition and she is extremely excited about competing alongside the world’s best gymnasts on the same stage and making new friends!

I have been training very hard and want to be able to perform at my best for the Games. I hope that my fellow Singaporeans are behind me and cheering for me!”
