As part of the revamped Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) National Programme, which will take effect in 2025, Singapore Gymnastics has released the schedule for its 2025 Judging Courses. These courses are essential to ensure all WAG judges remain up-to-date with the latest standards and regulations, aligning with both the updated National Programme and the new FIG Code of Points (COP) for 2025-2028.
All current WAG judges must complete and pass the judging course corresponding to their current accreditation level to maintain their judging credentials beyond 31 December 2024. This is crucial as it ensures alignment with the new COP for 2025-2028 and Singapore’s updated National Programme. Failure to successfully attend and pass the required course will result in the expiration of their accreditation at the end of 2024.
For judges who are reaccrediting at their current level, attendance at the course is optional, but they must sit for and pass the relevant exams to maintain their judging credentials beyond 31 December 2024. However, if a judge is upgrading to a higher level, both attendance at the course and passing the exams are compulsory.
Please note:
The 2025 WAG Judging course schedule is as follows:
These workshops and exams are essential for all judges to maintain their eligibility to officiate at national competitions beginning in 2025. National Level 3 judges will engage in a course focused on enhancing their knowledge but will not be required to take an exam in 2025.
With the introduction of the new COP for 2025-2028, the updated WAG National Programme emphasises both technical expertise and developmental growth, ensuring that judges and athletes alike are fully aligned with the latest international and national standards.
Please mark your calendars now, as registration for the 2025 Judging Courses will open at the beginning of November. Judges who are interested in enrolling or have any further questions are encouraged to reach out to Singapore Gymnastics for more information and assistance. Don't miss this opportunity to secure your place in the upcoming courses!
Successful completion of these courses is vital to maintaining judging accreditation and upholding the high standards required for officiating under the new regulations.
