On 8th December 2017, Friday, Singapore Gymnastics (SG) was immensely honoured and pleased to be awarded sponsorship by The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) Singapore Foundation for the Engagement of Japanese Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) Technical Expert, Ms Rika Yamamoto, to assist with SG’s Commonwealth Games 2018 campaign and RG High Performance Programme for a period in February 2018.

SG was one of the 16 organisations to receive sponsorship from the JCCI Singapore Foundation.

During this period, Ms Yamamoto will be in Singapore to support our National Coaches in training the gymnasts while imparting targeted choreography and technical methodology to enhance athlete improvement and performance. Also invited are her three top-ranked University gymnasts, whom will help to educate and inspire our athletes by means of demonstration. Concurrently, we also project to build the capability of local Singaporean coaches by offering them a chance to observe and learn from Ms Yamamoto’s training.
