Singapore Gymnastics Seeks WAG Technical Advisory Council Members

Singapore Gymnastics (SG) continues its strategic initiatives in enhancing the sport's standards and direction with the appointment of Technical Advisory Councils (TAC) for the various disciplines. Following the successful appointment of the new TACs for MAG, RG, and TRA in January 2024, SG now shifts its focus towards appointing members for the Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) TAC.

2023 MAG & WAG Intermediate Coaching Course F2F sessions completed

Singapore Gymnastics conducted our 3rd year of Intermediate Coaching Course for Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics this July with a total of 20 participant coaches. Our instructor coaches Derek Trotter, Aizat Jufrie, Lim Heem Wei, Nabilah Littleford and guest instructor Stacey Umeh (AUS) covered lots of practical work with the coaches and we hope all participant coaches had a great experience at the course.

Gymnastics is a sport that requires balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest and abdominal muscle groups. Alertness, precision, daring, self-confidence and self-discipline are mental traits that can also be developed through gymnastics.

National Judges Refresher Course 2023

With National Championships around the corner, Singapore Gymnastics have hosted a series of refresher courses for our national judges. Rhythmic Gymnastics: 13th and 27th February The course is hosted by Ms Phaan Yilin, FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Category 2 Judge. Women Artisitic Gymnastics: 19th February  The course is led by Ms Yang Xiaoyun, together with Ms Lim Heem Wei, both of them FIG WAG Brevet Judges.

WAG National L1 Judges Course 2023

Singapore Gymnastics is pleased to conduct the Women's Artisitic Gymnastics Level 1 National Judges Course over the past two weekends (18th and 25th February 2023). The course was conducted by Ms Yang Xiaoyun, FIG WAG Category 2 Judge. Singapore Gymnastics would like to announce the following judges attaining their accreditation: Nydia HENG, Samantha LOH, Hannah QUAH and Sarisha XIU. Congratulations to all newly accredited judges!

Singapore Gymnastics Classic 2022

The Singapore Gymnastics Classic will be held at Bishan Sports Hall on 3-4 December 2022 and will include three disciplines: Men’s Artistic, Women’s Artistic, and Rhythmic. Singapore Gymnastics (SG) is committed to hosting games while implementing various health and safety measures. Singapore Gymnastics Classic is SG's initiative to provide an opportunity for high-level athletes a chance to compete.
