TRA Level 1 and Level 3 Judges Course 2020 - Registrations Open!

Calling all prospective Trampoline Gymnastics (TRA) judges and current Singapore Gymnastics (SG) accredited TRA judges –

We are pleased to announce that registrations for the annual and upcoming TRA Level 1 and 3 Judges Course are now open!

Workshop: 29 February 2020 Saturday (930am – 5pm)

Theory Exam: 7 March 2020 Saturday (930am-1100am)

Practical (Execution) Exam: 8 March 2020 Sunday (930am-1100am)

Workshop: 1 Mar 2020 Sunday (930am – 530pm)

Theory Exam: 7 March 2020 Saturday (930am-1100am)

Practical (Execution): 7 March 2020 Saturday (1100am-1230pm)

Practical (Difficulty): 8 March 2020 Sunday (1100am-1pm)

Objective

To be able to judge all routines in Execution from Kinder Levels up to Level 6

To be able to judge all routines in Execution and Difficulty for all National Development Programme Levels

To be able to Chair the Panel for Kinder and Level 1 events

Workshop Timetable (Schedule Tentative)

0930-1100: Introduction to Judging, duties of Judges, and the SG Levels System

1100-1230: Practice

1230-1330: Lunch

1330-1700: Practice

0930-1100: Introduction to duties of Chair of the Panel, including coverage of the FIG Code of Points (TRA) and other relevant documents

1100-1230: Execution Practice

1230-1330: Lunch

1330-1700: Execution & Difficulty Practice

Workshop Eligibility

Open to public

Minimum turning 15 years in 2020 (born in 2005 or before)

Any National/FIG Judge or recognized equivalent (as assessed by TRA TAC on a case-by-case basis)

Exam Eligibility

Current National Level 2 Judge

Must have judged at least 3 Difficulty Sessions as a Level 2 Judge

Minimum turning 17 years in 2020

(born in 2003 or before)

Additional Information

  • Minimum 80% attendance is required for the course (on top of passing the exam) to receive accreditation.
  • For full NROC coaches, this course may be counted towards your CCE hours.
    • Each level of course, regardless of the year offered, may only be counted once towards one’s CCE hours for a maximum of 10 hours.
  • FYI SG Judge Accreditation Policy (please read, information related to fast tracking is in here).
  • Retakes are only permitted if the judge has attained an averaged minimum of 50%, regardless of whether he/ she has failed the practical or theory. Judges only need retake the component that he/ she has failed.
  • No fees payment required if not taking exam, but participation will be subject to class size limitations.
  • All SG policies will apply to these courses, including our Refund Policy.
