The transition from the 2024 to the 2025 Trampoline Gymnastics National Programme highlights a thoughtful refinement of guidelines and practices, reflecting a commitment to gradual improvement and alignment with evolving standards. The updates also reflect changes made to the FIG Code of Points for 2025-2028.
The largest change made will be with regards to Judging – all National Competitions will run on the 2025-2028 FIG Judging Rules and Regulations. Going forwards, deductions, penalties, and all other matters of scoring will reflect this change. This includes the 2025 National Championships, and all coaches and athletes should update their own understanding of the rules and regulations governing their sport.
Other changes of note include:
The adjustment of Degree of Difficulty (DD) benchmarks for National Development Programme (NDP) levels, to align with the Code of Points’ stipulation of a minimum difficulty of 0.1 for skills without rotation or twists. (The Grading Pass marks for Individual and Synchronized Trampoline have also been adjusted as a result.)
The 17-21 Age Group Requirements have been updated to reflect the corresponding change in the CoP, most important of which is that the 17-21 Age Group qualifying score requirement is now the sum of scores of both routines.
In Synchronized Competition, where pairs from different clubs can register to compete as a synchronized pair, and who will not be subjected to the penalty for non-identical attire. This is to help foster a better sense of community within the TRA fraternity in Singapore.
In general, other small but meaningful revisions were made to routines, voluntary elements, and attire regulations, which added clarity and flexibility to the program. These refinements were made with the aim of better supporting gymnasts and coaches in navigating the pathways provided within the manual, and also to promote proper skill developmental pathways and technical excellence in routines.
Overall, the changes in the 2025 manual represent a steady evolution rather than a drastic overhaul, maintaining continuity while responding to the needs of the gymnastics community and aligning with international developments.
