Welcome to the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) National Programme 2025 & Beyond!
The MAG National Programme has been revamped to bring exciting advancements to Men’s Artistic Gymnastics in Singapore. Launching at the 2025 National Championships, these updates are designed to foster long-term athlete development, boost participation, and align with international standards.
Streamlined Pathways and Levels
The updated programme features simplified pathways and levels to:
- Align stages with a unified developmental goal.
- Make skill requirements more accessible for clubs.
- Simplify technical descriptions and judging criteria for better clarity and consistency.
A key change is the replacement of Level 6 with the newly designed Stage 6, which incorporates modified Junior FIG elements. This ensures smoother transitions and skill progression for athletes.
Enhanced Participation and Skill Development
The programme emphasizes inclusivity and high technical standards by:
- Simplifying routines to encourage broader club participation.
- Preparing athletes for advanced competitions with age-appropriate skills.
Focused Apparatus Modifications
To ensure manageable transitions for clubs, selective changes have been applied to key apparatus, including:
- High Bar
- Vault
- Pommel Horse
These updates aim to develop strong fundamental skills for athletes.
Resources and Implementation
To aid the transition, the following resources will be available:
- Videos: Routine demonstrations for all levels and stages, available early December.
- Manual: A comprehensive programme guide with skill execution details, available by late December.
- Online Platform: Accessible resources via a one-time purchase to support the community.
