WAG National Programme

Singapore Gymnastics is delighted to present the overview of the WAG National Programme 2019 and beyond.

The WAG National Program is a developmental pathway and competition program for every WAG gymnast in Singapore, to be utilised by schools, clubs, and programmes. The WAG National Programme:

• Promotes and builds participation
• Provides a consistent developmental pipeline for talent and
• Provides a link to International performance programs

The programme was developed based on the following guiding principles:

1. ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT is the focus.
2. COACHING knowledge leads to improved athlete performance.
3. COMPETITION MANAGEMENT is facilitated and flexible.
4. JUDGING is fair, consistent and encouraging.
5. GYMNASTICS COMMUNITY is involved and engaged.
6. PRODUCT is professional.
